Ideal Background:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Florida
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, ideally working with K-12 students
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Key Duties:

  • Deliver individualized and group therapy to students with varied communication needs
  • Complete assessments and develop goals, as well as IEP documentation
  • Consult with educators and family members to support student progress
  • Monitor, report, and evaluate treatment outcomes to ensure student achievement
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations
  • Contribute actively to the school team, attending meetings as needed and sharing best practices
