Job Description

A school district in Westminster, Colorado is seeking a qualified Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full‑time, school‑based contract. This position serves K–12 students and focuses on providing speech and language services to support communication, academic success, and social development. Responsibilities

  • Provide speech‑language therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop, implement, and manage IEP goals and services
  • Conduct evaluations and re‑evaluations in compliance with district and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
  • Provide consultation and training to staff regarding communication strategies and interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Support student access to curriculum and communication development

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado Speech‑Language Pathologist license required
  • Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider License preferred or eligibility to obtain
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered
  • Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
  • Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates

Education

  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or a related field

Experience

  • Previous school‑based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Experience managing caseloads and supporting IEP compliance preferred
  • Clinical Fellows (CFs) with appropriate supervision eligibility are encouraged to apply

  • Strong knowledge of speech‑language therapy practices in educational settings
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations

Work Hours

  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Approximately 37–40 hours per week
