Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Eligibility for California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or current credential)
- Successful fingerprint clearance and district onboarding
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
- Capacity to effectively manage a school-based caseload and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- School-based experience preferred, but a passion for pediatric settings is essential
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy aligned with each student’s IEP goals and service minutes
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic language assessments
- Complete evaluations and re-evaluations, composing detailed written reports
- Develop and update IEP goals; communicate progress at meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, psychologists, and families for student-centered planning
- Maintain meticulous documentation, including service logs, progress reports, and follow Medicaid billing if needed
- Advise school staff on classroom accommodations and effective communication strategies
- Work with diverse students, including those with Autism, Speech and Language Impairment, and more
- Integrate AAC and other communication systems as needed to support students’ access to learning
