Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active California Speech-Language Pathology License
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Eligibility for California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or current credential)
  • Successful fingerprint clearance and district onboarding
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
  • Capacity to effectively manage a school-based caseload and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • School-based experience preferred, but a passion for pediatric settings is essential

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy aligned with each student’s IEP goals and service minutes
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic language assessments
  • Complete evaluations and re-evaluations, composing detailed written reports
  • Develop and update IEP goals; communicate progress at meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, psychologists, and families for student-centered planning
  • Maintain meticulous documentation, including service logs, progress reports, and follow Medicaid billing if needed
  • Advise school staff on classroom accommodations and effective communication strategies
  • Work with diverse students, including those with Autism, Speech and Language Impairment, and more
  • Integrate AAC and other communication systems as needed to support students’ access to learning
