Qualifications & Credentials:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active California License in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Fingerprint clearance and successful completion of all district-required onboarding
  • Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and documentation
  • Ability to effectively manage a school caseload and work in multidisciplinary teams
  • Previous school-based experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services in accordance with IEP goals/service minutes for K-12 students
  • Conduct speech/language/voice/fluency/pragmatic assessments
  • Complete thorough evaluations, comprehensive written reports, and progress monitoring
  • Lead the development and presentation of IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate service logs and reports for compliance and Medicaid billing
  • Consult with staff and families to optimize student learning and communication success
  • Actively participate in team meetings and integrate augmentative communication systems where needed
