Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or eligibility to obtain)
- Fingerprint clearance and district onboarding compliance
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and work within multidisciplinary teams
- Prior school-based experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy in alignment with students’ IEP goals
- Perform assessments in speech, language, voice, fluency, and social/pragmatic abilities
- Prepare thorough evaluations, re-evaluations, and written diagnostic reports
- Develop, update, and monitor IEP goals; present recommendations at meetings
- Maintain accurate service logs, documentation, progress reports, and Medicaid billing (where applicable)
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, other school professionals, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Provide support for students across a diverse range of eligibility categories
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings and educational planning
- Implement and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate
