Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current state licensure and certification to practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Bilingual endorsement required
- Experience with school-based speech therapy preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and families
- Familiarity with IEP process, assessments, and goal-setting for students with diverse speech and language needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students in need of support
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all therapy sessions and evaluations
- Engage in progress monitoring and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support whole-child development
