Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois state licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; will consider Clinical Fellows (CF)
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (must speak Spanish)
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with classroom staff
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Passion for supporting children with speech, language, or communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine speech-language needs and strengths
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, in English and Spanish
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals to build an inclusive learning environment
- Maintain detailed records and document student progress in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to eligibility and re-evaluation processes
- Offer culturally responsive support to bilingual and Spanish-speaking families
