School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Palatine, Illinois

Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (Illinois)
- Bilingual endorsement required, with strong proficiency in a second language
- Experience providing SLP services in a school environment preferred
- Ability to develop and carry out Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills, with the flexibility to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient, and able to motivate students of varying backgrounds and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site speech and language therapy to students, addressing both individual and group needs
- Assess, diagnose, and create tailored intervention plans in collaboration with other education professionals
- Document student progress, update IEP goals, and participate in meetings as needed
- Utilize bilingual skills to ensure equitable access to services for non-English-speaking students and families
- Provide resources and strategies to staff and caregivers to support student success beyond the therapy setting
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to special education
