School Speech Language Pathologist - Warwick, Rhode Island
Step into a fulfilling role supporting middle and high school students with communication and language development needs. This in-person, contract-based position offers the opportunity to work with around 36 students across both school levels—providing a diverse and meaningful caseload. Your expertise will be valued as you rotate throughout the week: Mondays and Thursdays at the high school, Tuesdays and Fridays at the middle school, and Wednesdays split between both locations. The schedule is full-time at 35 hours per week, from 7:40am to 2:15pm.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) OR eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable managing a caseload of approximately 36 students
- Ability to support all classrooms except for those designated as behavioral settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to middle and high school students
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation of services, progress, and communication with families and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to support student goals
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide consultative support as needed
This assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through June 4, 2027, offering stability and the chance to see lasting results in your students’ progress.
