Exciting opportunities await Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a rewarding contract role working with K-5 students in a dynamic school environment. This onsite position, located in the vibrant Metro Detroit area, offers the chance to support young learners during the academic year.

In this capacity, you will collaborate with educators and families to help students develop vital communication skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a school setting, demonstrate professionalism, and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Active Michigan SLP licensure (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience providing speech therapy services within a school setting, especially with K-5 caseloads
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive, “self-starter” attitude
  • Coachable, receptive to feedback, and highly collaborative
  • Excellent communication habits and responsiveness

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for elementary-aged students
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with student support teams
  • Provide direct therapy services and track student progress diligently
  • Engage with teachers, administrators, and families to share progress reports and support strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation aligned with district and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
