This contract role will focus on delivering comprehensive speech and language support to K-5 students, helping them achieve their communication goals and succeed academically and socially. You’ll work onsite during regular school hours, Monday through Friday, with a dedicated team of professionals committed to student growth.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting with K-5 students
- Strong communication skills—responsive, clear, and collaborative
- Coachable, adaptable, and able to independently manage caseload
- Confident in conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs, and tracking student progress
- Able to build rapport with students, families, and fellow educators
- Comfortable using data and evidence-based practices to inform interventions
Job responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students, both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student IEPs
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments as needed
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to program planning
- Offer strategies and support to teachers and families to facilitate carryover of skills
- Maintain responsive and open communication with staff, administrators, and families
This is an onsite contract position aligned with the school calendar, running from late October to late June, with set daytime hours.
