School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | North Scituate, Rhode Island

This contract opportunity, serving a caseload of approximately 36 students, revolves around providing vital speech and language services throughout the school week. Experience a dynamic schedule—work Mondays and Thursdays at the high school, Tuesdays and Fridays at the middle school, and Wednesdays split between both—creating variety in your daily routine while building meaningful relationships with staff and students alike.
This in-person role is full-time, running 35 hours a week from 7:40am to 2:15pm, and begins as soon as possible, continuing through June 4th, 2027. You’ll support a diverse range of classrooms, offering your expertise everywhere except designated behavior rooms.
Preferred Background:
- Current or eligible SLP state licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) status, considered
- Previous experience delivering speech and language services in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to collaborate with general education and special education teams
- Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication needs for middle and high school students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation of services
- Provide in-class support, consultation, and training for educational staff
