You'll provide services to a caseload of 18–22 students, primarily those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ensuring each receives the tailored communication support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Beginning on May 18, 2026, this full-time position runs through May 20, 2027, with the potential to continue into Extended School Year (ESY) services and beyond. You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, closely collaborating with fellow professionals in an environment committed to student growth and inclusion. On-site mandatory safety care training is provided to ensure a safe, supportive atmosphere for both students and staff.
Compensation for this role ranges from $52–58 per hour, paid weekly.
What you’ll bring:
- An active Rhode Island Speech License (required)
- Appropriate credentials for SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings
- Understanding of ASD and strategies for student engagement
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services in accordance with IEPs
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and case management
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
