Qualifications:
- Current and active Rhode Island Speech License required
- Accepting SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and SLPA credentialed professionals
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students diagnosed on the autism spectrum
- Willingness to complete mandatory on-site safety care training
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to a caseload of 18–22 students, adjusting to frequency as needed
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with special educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student progress
- Contribute to the school’s positive, student-centered environment and participate in professional development as required
