School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Warren, Michigan
Seeking a dynamic Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a lasting difference in the lives of students across multiple school settings. This full-time, contract opportunity spans four buildings, offering the chance to collaborate with diverse student populations and dedicated education teams.
You'll work in settings ranging from general education classrooms to specialized ASD and CI programs. Assignments include grades 3–5 at one building, K–8 along with potential preschool and high school at a second location, and both an intermediate and high school—each with general education as well as ASD and CI program students. No two days will be the same, and your expertise will reach learners at many developmental stages.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure
- Clinical Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Background in school-based SLP services, with familiarity in both general and special education environments
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and intervention planning skills
- Experience with or knowledge of ASD and cognitive impairment support programs a plus
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address diverse communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
