This contract position is based near Thousand Oaks, CA, and offers an immediate start, allowing you to make a difference right away. With a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and a 35-hour workweek, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team to provide vital speech and language services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in California
- Experience providing speech and language support in school settings preferred
- Previous high school caseload experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized plans tailored to student needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for high school students
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans that align with IEP requirements
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Provide consultation and support to staff regarding communication strategies
- Track and report on student outcomes, adjusting interventions as needed
