Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid SLP license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly beneficial
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents on intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide progress updates, and contribute professional insights
- Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Stay informed on best practices and new developments in school-based speech pathology
