Speech Pathology - New Orleans, LA
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in a vibrant educational setting in the New Orleans area. This full-time, onsite position begins August 7, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, aligning with the school’s calendar. SLP professionals will provide essential support to diverse student populations while collaborating with passionate educators and administrators. The number of schools and age range of caseload are to be determined, offering flexibility to match your strengths and interests.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders is required
- Active or eligible Louisiana state licensure
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic educational environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education and treatment plans
- Maintain consistent documentation and progress tracking in compliance with school and state policies
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to maximize student success
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insights to help shape each child’s education plan
- Meet all required credentialing, including district-specific drug screening and fingerprint clearance
