School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - New Orleans, Louisiana
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school setting near New Orleans, LA. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you'll collaborate with educators and families to help students reach their communication potential. This position is scheduled to begin on August 7, 2026, continuing through May 27, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek (Monday–Friday, following the school calendar). Assignments will focus on one or more campuses in the area, with specific caseload details to be determined.
Your qualifications should include:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Commitment to complete drug screening and fingerprinting required by the district, in addition to standard credentialing protocol
In this role, responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Delivering direct therapy services to students, adapting methods to meet a range of ages and abilities
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to support student goals
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with district, state, and professional requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing input into student service plans
This is a school-based, onsite position. All candidates will be thoroughly pre-screened prior to submission to the district, ensuring the highest standards of care. Please note: Any formal offer and placement will be contingent upon the school board’s contract renewal, anticipated to be reviewed during the June 3, 2026, board meeting.
