Qualifications/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required
- Prior experience working in educational settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to various school environments and diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in coordination with teachers and parents
- Track student progress and document results in accordance with IDEA and district standards
- Offer consultation and training to staff, families, and other stakeholders regarding speech and language development strategies
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and staff training sessions
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to school-based speech therapy
