Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience with school-aged children or previous school-based SLP roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage caseloads, and meet deadlines
- Comfort with IEP development, documentation, and family communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Identify students’ needs and develop engaging, individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct interventions in group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, offering professional recommendations
- Track progress, maintain records, and document therapy sessions in accordance with school and federal guidelines
- Educate and inform staff and caregivers on strategies to promote communication growth
