You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop personalized intervention plans for students with a range of speech and language needs. With a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll be able to offer consistency and dedicated guidance across mixed caseloads, helping students achieve meaningful milestones throughout the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and current Speech-Language Pathologist license (Virginia or eligible to obtain)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or CFY status considered
- Prior school-based experience preferred, but open to passionate SLPs new to this setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) collaboratively
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ communication abilities using formal and informal assessments
- Develop and implement targeted therapy strategies for a diverse, mixed K-12 caseload
- Work closely with teachers, families, and specialists to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide education and support to school staff and parents regarding speech and language development
