Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Experience with direct therapy in schools or similar settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes—including meeting participation and plan writing
- Competence in conducting assessments and evaluations for students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Duties:
- Provide tailored speech and language therapy to students as directed by IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, documenting progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Lead or actively contribute to IEP meetings, ensuring recommendations are evidence-based and student-focused
- Maintain timely, accurate records and reports in compliance with school and state regulations
