Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Vallejo, California
Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their communication skills as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. As part of a dynamic educational setting located near Vallejo and serving the San Rafael, CA area, you will provide essential services to K-12th grade students, helping them thrive academically and socially. Qualifications:
- Active California SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed
- Experience in school settings and pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Familiarity with virtual therapy (teletherapy) modalities is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication and language disorders
- Deliver direct therapy and consultation services for a variety of speech and language needs, including articulation, fluency, voice, and pragmatic skills
- Collaborate with special educators, teachers, and family members to support students’ progress
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and comply with all regulatory requirements
- Engage in IEP meetings, contribute to the development of student goals, and make data-based recommendations
- Flexibility in delivering services in-person and/or through teletherapy as determined by student needs
This full-time role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, allowing you to build strong relationships with students and staff, and to positively shape educational outcomes.
