Step into a rewarding contract role supporting high school students through expert speech-language pathology services in sunny California! This full-time, on-site opportunity focuses on delivering essential therapeutic interventions to help students reach their communication and academic goals. Your workdays will begin at 8:15am and wrap up by 3:30pm, offering a consistent schedule while working across one to two school sites.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about making a difference for teenagers, comfortable collaborating with educators and families, and ready to support IEP goals from now until the end of the school year. Opportunities may be available for summer hours and contract renewal for the upcoming academic year.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Holds a valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) welcome
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings
- Teletherapy and healthcare SLP backgrounds valued
- SLPA professionals with school-based or healthcare experience also encouraged to apply
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple caseloads across sites
- Committed to supporting high school students, including those with IEPs and diverse communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to high school students
- Develop, implement, and track progress in individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with other special education professionals and school staff
- Conduct evaluations, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain detailed records
- Adapt services to address a wide range of student needs
- Serve students at up to two local school sites
