Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Canyon Country, California
Step into a rewarding, full-time contract position supporting high school students with speech and language needs in a dynamic educational setting. This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Clinical Fellows (CFY), and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) who are passionate about student communication development and want to make a direct impact onsite in a school community.
This assignment is based near Canyon Country, CA, requires regular hours of 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM, and involves working across one to two high school campuses. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in helping students achieve their educational and social goals, while collaborating with supportive professionals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active California licensure or certification as an SLP (CCC or CFY), or SLPA
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, teletherapy, or healthcare SLP settings
- Knowledge of high school student caseloads and the ability to manage a variety of needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication for IEPs, assessments, and direct therapy
- Commitment to onsite service delivery
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide speech, language, and communication therapy to high school students
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized educational plans, and maintain accurate records
- Deliver direct services and consultative support at one or two assigned school locations
- Engage in regular collaboration with staff and families
- Support transition planning and progress monitoring
- Remain adaptable and flexible to meet student and program needs
This contract runs from now through the end of the school year, with inquiries about potential summer hours or renewal for the 2026-2027 school year in progress.
