Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Palmdale, California
Step into a rewarding contract position providing speech and language services to high school students in California. As a valued team member, you’ll collaborate with educators and support staff at 1-2 local school sites. You’ll manage a high school caseload, working with a diverse student population to assess, diagnose, and treat various speech and language challenges—all in a supportive, collaborative setting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid state licensure as an SLP, SLP-CCC, or SLP-CFY
- Pediatric and high school caseload experience preferred
- Prior school-based or healthcare SLP experience is valuable
- Teletherapy background is a plus
- SLPA professionals with appropriate credentials also encouraged to apply
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence in delivering speech therapy services in-person
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech/language therapy to students on-site
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for your high school caseload
- Prepare and maintain documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff
- Support generalization of communication strategies across educational settings
This contract position ensures regular, consistent hours—starting at 8:15am and concluding at 3:30pm—allowing you to engage deeply with your students while maintaining work-life balance. As the school year wraps up, opportunities to extend your assignment or work summer hours may become available.
