This contract role is ideal for professionals who hold their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and have experience or a keen interest in supporting student communication needs within an educational environment.
This is a pipeline opportunity: the district is currently pursuing direct hires but anticipates potential contract positions becoming available by the end of the month (7/31). While interviews will take place, no selection will be made until official approval for contracting is granted.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP and ASHA CCC required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and best practices in delivery of speech/language services
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in the school setting
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, compliant student records
- Provide support for students with diverse backgrounds and a variety of communication needs
