School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Annapolis, Maryland
If you’re a Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for supporting students and collaborating with educational teams, this contract opportunity offers the chance to make a difference. This position is situated near Annapolis, MD, and is ideal for professionals with SLP-CCC credentials who thrive in a school-based environment. While this is a pipeline (soft job order) opening, the district expects to have clarity on contracting by the end of the month. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience within a school setting, working with diverse student populations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
- Deliver therapy sessions tailored to individual and group needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state regulations
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
