Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students, adapting approaches based on assessed needs and IEP goals.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments utilizing current medical and psychological instruments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations related to special education and other regulated programs.
- Compile, analyze, and report data pertaining to student progress and program effectiveness.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff, students, and families—both in writing and verbally.
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication.
- Work assignments will align with district needs and may vary in specific location or caseload.
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification is required.
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution.
- Expertise in pediatric and adolescent development, particularly cognitive and physical milestones.
- Deep understanding of terminology and best practices regarding physical and learning disabilities.
- Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret complex laws, policies, and student data.
