From August 7 to June 10, you’ll provide essential speech-language pathology services in an onsite setting, working closely with children and adolescents with a range of needs. This position calls for expertise in educational law, pediatric and adolescent development, and assessment strategies for students with disabilities. You’ll be a key advocate for students’ communication needs, contributing to multidisciplinary teams and helping learners reach their full potential.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited college or university
- ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure (preferred)
- Deep understanding of regulations and best practices in the education of students with disabilities
- Knowledge of physical and cognitive development, as well as diagnostic instruments for children with disabilities
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to analyze data and interpret relevant laws and policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students on-site
- Conduct assessments and contribute to development/implementation of IEPs
- Document progress and maintain detailed records according to federal and state regulations
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure holistic support for each student
- Stay current on best practices and legal updates relevant to the field
