Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Prior school-based experience (elementary and/or middle school preferred)
- Comprehensive understanding of speech, language, and communication development in children
- Strong assessment, documentation, and case management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to serving diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students across grades K-8, targeting individual IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, interpreting results and sharing recommendations
- Manage caseload documentation, write progress reports, and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings, developing individualized therapy plans with input from families and staff
- Consult regularly with teachers and staff to support students' success in the classroom
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that supports students’ communication skills and overall growth
