Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
- Deep understanding of regulations, laws, and best practices in special education and services for children with disabilities
- Strong grasp of pediatric and adolescent development, especially as it informs assessment and intervention
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools for medical and psychological evaluation of students with disabilities
- Ability to evaluate data and interpret related laws, policies, and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
Preferred Credentials:
- ASHA Certification
- Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology (ABSESPA) Licensure
