Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license, with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Strong background in school-based SLP services, particularly within primary and elementary settings
- Prior experience supervising SLPAs and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
- Solid understanding of special education procedures, including ARD meetings (Admission, Review, and Dismissal)
- Skilled in conducting speech-language evaluations; this role focuses solely on assessment and ARD facilitation—no therapy delivery required
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants as they work with students
- Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations for assigned campuses
- Participate actively in ARD meetings, working with faculty and parents to develop appropriate student plans
- Support multiple school sites as assigned, ensuring continuity and consistency in evaluation and supervision practices
- Maintain organized records and adhere to all state and district requirements
