Supervision of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is included in your responsibilities, but no direct therapy is required. What You’ll Bring:
- Active Texas SLP license and ASHA CCC certification
- Previous experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Confidence supervising SLPAs as needed
- Skill in conducting detailed speech-language evaluations
- Familiarity with ARD meeting participation and documentation
- Strong written and interpersonal communication abilities
Key Duties:
- Oversee and guide SLPA on assigned campus(es)
- Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students
- Facilitate and participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Ensure timely and thorough documentation in accordance with school district requirements
