School Speech Language Pathologist - Tacoma, Washington
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a School Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting preschool-aged learners in a vibrant educational setting near Tacoma, WA. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP licensure (or the ability to obtain prior to start)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though not required
- Previous experience with preschool or early childhood populations highly valued
- Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset and commitment to collaborative practice
- SLPAs are welcome for consideration
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to preschool students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans to address a variety of communication needs
- Work closely with teachers, families, and fellow staff to promote optimal student outcomes
- Develop and implement IEPs while maintaining up-to-date records and compliance documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program planning
- Adapt intervention strategies based on student progress and evolving needs
