An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives while working onsite near Tacoma, WA. Your commitment will span from August 31st, 2026, to June 15th, 2027, working 35-37.5 hours over five days each week. You'll focus exclusively onsite, joining a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Washington SLP licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience with IEP development and IDEA compliance in a school setting
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to work independently and adapt to the dynamic needs of a school environment
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly valued
Primary Duties:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication skills using standardized tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct therapy services to students with varying needs
- Document progress, keep accurate records, and follow school protocols
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support teams to ensure student success
- Attend meetings, provide consultative support, and participate in school initiatives
