School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Sussex, Virginia

This full-time contract position offers 30-37 hours per week and centers on working with a diverse caseload of approximately 80 students (with the possibility of caseload adjustments depending on student needs). Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Virginia SLP license or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome
- Familiarity with school-based SLP services and relevant IEP procedures
- Strong organizational skills, especially with documentation and record-keeping
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working within a multidisciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, targeting individualized education goals
- Conduct evaluations and deliver comprehensive assessments
- Maintain accurate service logs using Log Wizard for session documentation
- Complete Virginia Medicaid logs for billing (training provided if needed)
- Consult with teachers, families, and specialists to support each student’s unique needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and develop goal-oriented therapy plans
- Monitor progress and communicate results with families and school staff
