You'll be collaborating with educators and support staff to empower students through the development of essential communication skills during crucial periods for these school teams.
Openings cover upcoming maternity leaves: one assignment at a K-8 school with multiple ASD units, and the other at a vibrant high school campus, each offering you the chance to focus on a single school and truly get to know your caseload. Each SLP will serve one designated campus per assignment, ensuring continuity and consistent support for students and staff.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, active Florida SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, therapy, and individualized treatment plans for students based on IEPs
- Work closely with existing SLPs and SLPAs for collaborative problem-solving and resource sharing
- Maintain thorough records and document student progress per district guidelines
- Engage with parents, teachers, and support teams to ensure holistic student support
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed
