School Speech Language Pathologist - Stockton, California
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist and make a real difference in the lives of students throughout the academic year. This position spans from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with the school year commencing on August 6th. The workday runs from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a supportive and consistent schedule for both you and your students.
You’ll work with an engaging caseload of approximately 50-60 students across school sites (locations to be determined), providing essential speech and language services. Whether you hold the SLP-CCC credential or are completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), your expertise will directly contribute to student success and communication growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current or pending licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California
- SLP-CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome
- Background in school-based speech therapy preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff
- Commitment to fostering positive outcomes for students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Educate and collaborate with school staff and families
- Adjust therapy approaches as needed to support diverse learners
