Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity spans from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. School starts August 6th, allowing you the perfect amount of time to prepare for a dynamic and meaningful year ahead. You’ll work closely with a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, with school site assignments determined prior to your start date.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current or eligible California SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Prior experience in an educational setting preferred, but CFYs are welcome to apply
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to evidence-based and student-centered practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing expert insight and documentation as required
- Deliver services at one or multiple school sites as needed
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
