Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or associate degree for SLPA consideration)
- Active CA SLP or SLPA license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLPs
- Experience working with students in educational environments, preferably with medically fragile populations
- Proficiency in AAC devices and communication systems
- Collaborative approach and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, flexible, and responsive to evolving student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver speech-language services for students in three medically fragile classrooms
- Document progress and maintain compliance with IEPs and school policies
- Work closely with an established SLP and SLPA on-site to develop and implement therapy strategies
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support each child's communication and learning goals
- Adapt therapy materials and techniques for individual student needs
