This position is set to begin August 10, 2026, and is expected to run through December 2026, with the possibility of extension to the full school year. You will be covering for a maternity leave within Crown Hill Elementary, supporting three medically fragile classrooms alongside another SLP and a dedicated SLPA. Your expertise working with AAC devices will be invaluable as you help students thrive.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hold SLP - CCC and relevant school-based SLP credentials
- Experience working in educational settings, ideally with medically fragile populations
- Skilled in the use and implementation of AAC devices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy for students in medically fragile classrooms
- Develop and implement AAC communication strategies
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Partner with the additional SLP and SLPA to support student care
