Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity located just south of Washington, DC, supporting diverse students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a difference in educational environments and ready to be fully onsite. Positions are available for six SLPs and cover a full academic year, from early August through late May.
What We’re Looking For:
- Hold an active Virginia SLP license
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged populations
- Comfortable serving various age groups, from young children to adolescents
- Committed to an in-person, onsite role (remote/virtual work is not available)
- Able to start time-sensitive credentialing steps promptly, including a VA Department of Social Services background check and TB test
- Flexibility to take assignments at different school levels as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students as assigned
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Deliver therapy sessions designed to enhance communication abilities for students with varied needs across the caseload
- Consult with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all state and district requirements
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives aimed at student success
This full-time contract runs 185 school days, with hours totaling 37.5 hours per week. As a valued member of the school community, you’ll have the chance to work in a dynamic educational setting with both students and an inspiring team.
