What you'll bring:
- Active Virginia SLP licensure
- Willingness to initiate the VA Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test upon hiring
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, but applicants with 0-2 years will be considered
- Flexibility to support students across a range of ages and needs
- Commitment to on-site services (no virtual or hybrid options)
Key responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and document student progress with clarity and accuracy
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and IEP team meetings
- Adapt approaches to meet diverse learning needs, fostering student growth and confidence
