School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Petersburg, Virginia

Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP, CCC-SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) to work with K-12 students in a contract role beginning August 2026 through May 2027. This position involves supporting students at 1-3 school sites near Petersburg, VA, providing invaluable language and communication services within the school environment. Supervision for SLPA candidates will be offered by a virtual SLP, ensuring a collaborative and supportive structure.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold an active SLP-CCC or eligible SLPA certification (state licensure required)
- Comfortable managing a K-12 caseload
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to different school sites
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Previous school-based SLP/SLPA experience preferred, not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students across assigned school sites
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams
