School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Santa Rosa, California
Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting preschool-aged children as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist! This opportunity runs from August 14 through June 7, offering full-time hours: seven per day, five days a week. Working with a manageable caseload of 20-30 students ages 3-4, you will provide assessment and therapy within inclusive community preschool settings. Your work will span five different sites, giving you varied environments and a dynamic daily routine.
This is an ideal fit for an experienced clinician, although clinical fellows are welcome to apply. The position involves close collaboration with educators and community partners to ensure every child’s communication needs are met in their natural classroom environments. Daily travel between preschool sites is included, adding variety and impact to your week.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC preferred; CFs considered)
- Previous experience in a preschool or school-based setting is highly desirable
- Strong skills in assessment, developing and implementing therapy plans, and collaborative consultation
- Access to transportation for travel between community preschools
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for preschool students
- Deliver therapy and intervention services within classroom settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote generalization of skills
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
