Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current, active New Mexico SLP license (required)
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students from elementary to high school grade levels
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Work with students individually and in groups to provide direct speech-language therapy
- Collaborate with teachers, other related service providers, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records and submit timely progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning
- Offer consultation and support to school staff regarding best practices in communication development
