High School Middle School School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Loving, New Mexico

Qualifications and Experience:
- Holds an active New Mexico SLP license (required)
- Prior experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Proficiency in supporting preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and parents
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of state and federal guidelines governing speech/language services in schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across grade levels
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Lead therapy sessions one-on-one and in small groups, focusing on articulation, fluency, language, and social communication
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update IEPs
- Communicate progress and strategies effectively with families and teaching staff
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation according to school and state regulations
- Provide guidance to staff on language and communication strategies within the classroom
