Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Hold an active New Mexico SLP license (required)
- Previous work in a school-based setting is preferred
- Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess, develop, and carry out individualized treatment plans
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students across multiple grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of interventions, progress reports, and compliance paperwork
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and school events
- Mentor and support educational staff on best practices for supporting students with communication needs
