Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current and active New Mexico license for Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred, supporting effective navigation of the academic environment
- Skilled in evaluation, diagnosis, and development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff
- Adaptability in working with children and adolescents across a variety of grade levels
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Work closely with teachers and administrative staff to develop and implement appropriate treatment strategies
- Manage a caseload of elementary, middle, and high school students
- Document progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Deliver direct therapy in both individual and group sessions, adjusting approaches to fit each student’s needs
